that runs down the spine of Malaysia are the famed hill resorts.
At more than 1400 metres or 4500 feet above sea level these hill resorts

Genting Highlands
Genting Highlands is approximately one hour by car from Kuala Lumpur. Malaysia’s only casino can be found here and passports
are required for entry. Helicopter service is also provided to Genting Highlands from Kuala Lumpur.
Four hotels, golf courses with a magnificent clubhouse, indoor swimming
pool, an artificial lake, a health/sports centre, are amongst the
facilities that can be found here. Fraser
Hill
Sited within the jungle 100 kilometres or 60 miles north of Kuala Lumpur, Fraser
Hill is popular amongst tourists and golf lovers. Many
other sporting activities are also available. There is township, an international
standard hotel and bungalows. Cameron
Highlands
Further North, the Cameron Highlands is about 4 hours drive from Kuala Lumpur. They are amongst the more popular mountain resorts
in Asia, featuring 3 separate townships: Ringlet, Brinchang,
and Tanah Rata. A hotel and bungalows are situated around a golf
course. Activities include tennis, badminton, squash, jungle walks
and swimming.
Once in Cameron, you can visit Gunung Brinchang at 2064 metres or
6773 feet above sea level. It is the highest inhabited point
in Peninsular Malaysia that offers magnificent views. |
