Persons older than 17
years are allowed to take the following items into Myanmar without
incurring customs duty:

cigarettes (1 carton) or 50 cigars or 250g tobacco

Playing
cards, equipment for gambling, archaeological items, antiques, and
pornography are prohibited
Jewellery,
cameras and electrical goods must be declared; if items are not
declared, visitors may be refused permission to export it on departure.
Video cameras
are placed in safe keeping at the airport and will be returned
on departure

All gems, jewellery and silverware purchased from legitimate shops
can be taken out of Myanmar. |
