Football
The National Stadium, located at the southern tip of Kantipath, has
regular football (soccer) matches, and is also the headquarters
for various martial arts clubs.
Tennis
The Soaltee Holiday Inn, Everest Hotel and Yak & Yeti
have tennis courts, open to non-guests for a fee.
Golf
The Royal Nepal Golf Club, located near the airport, is Nepal's only
18-hole course, where hazards include monkeys from nearby
Pashupatinath (telephone 472836; temporary memberships available).
Swimming
The city's public swimming pool, behind the National Stadium
is open daily (except winter) for morning and afternoon sessions
(women only on Sundays), admission is Rs20. The Hotel de
l'Annapurna, Woodlands-Dynasty Plaza and Yak & Yeti
allow non-guests to use their pools for about Rs400. |
