International Direct Dialing (IDD) is readily available to all main cities and towns. The country code is 63. International calls to the smaller towns need to be booked through the operator. For dialing outgoing international calls: code is 00.

Mobile telephone

Operates on GSM 900/1800 network. Network operators include Digitel, Smart Gold GSM and Globe Telecom. Coverage is limited to Manila, main cities and urban areas.

Facsimile

Most all three to five star hotels, government offices and businesses offer facsimile services.

Telegram

The Eastern Telecommunications Philippines Incorporated offices provides telegram services.

Internet

Internet Service Providers (ISP's) in the Philippines include Internet Manila, Philworld Online and Cyber Space. Internet cafes are available throughout the country.

Post

Airmail to Europe will take up to five or more days. Post office hours: Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 5.00 pm.

Press and Media Publications

The Philippines have over 17 daily newspapers. The dailies printed in English-language include the Manila Bulletin, Philippine Daily Inquirer, the Manila Times, and the Philippine Star.
