The below list of goods
may be imported into Singapore by passengers from 18 years onwards without
incurring customs duty:

of wine and 1

of beer;
For
bona fide tourists, gifts and food items worth up to S$150 if out
of Singapore less than 48 hours and S$300 if away from Singapore
for 48 hours or more. Note: These allowances
do not apply when arriving from Malaysia. Restricted
items
Tobacco products and chewing gum and must be declared upon arrival.
Prohibited items
Firearms, non-prescription drugs, all pornographic films and literature.
Export permits are mandatory for ammunition, arms, explosives, animals,
telecommunications equipment, film and video tapes and disks, precious
metals and stones, poisons and drugs. Meat and meat products are
strictly forbidden. Duty-free cigarettes are also prohibited.
The penalties for possession of narcotics are harsh and visitors
not complying with drug laws do so at the risk of death. |
