The weather is hot most of the year, the Top End has 2seasons, dry and wet, whilst the Red Centre has the usual 4, spring, summer, autumn, and winter. Coastal areas have heavy monsoon rain from March to November.

Required clothing

Light weight cottons and linens are advised for most of the year. Water proofs are necessary in the northern areas during the rainy season. A warm sweater or jacket is advised for the centre during winter months, as evenings can be quite cool.
