Beautiful snow capped mountains

Today we arrived in Salzburg. The train ride from Villach to Salzburg
was amazing. The snow capped Alps were beautiful. The train was
going real slow as we crawled up the mountains. On the train we
passed several ski resort towns that were open for business with
people skiing. It is quite a change in weather from two days ago
when it was 70 degrees and sunny to now being in the mountains with
snow. It seems as though Austria is more efficient and upkept better
than Italy and France. Salzburg is beatiful. There is a castle perched
atop the mountain here that seems like it is out of a fairytale.
Today is the first day of bad weather we have incurred. Salzburg
is really cool though as it is surrounded by mountains and the clouds
just appear to roll off them. However, it is a shame that is is
so cloudy because the pictures do not do it justice and you can
barely see the snow covered Alps. Anywas.... |
