People 18 years of age and older
may import the following items into Bahrain without incurring
customs duty:
200 cigarettes, 50 cigars and 250 grams of tobacco in open packets
1 litre of alcohol and 6 cans of beer (non Muslims only)
1 or 2 opened bottles of perfume
8 oz of perfume
Gifts up to the value of BD 250 (about US $600).
Controlled and prohibited items
Ammunition, drugs, firearms, methylated spirits and jewellery are
all controlled items.
There is also a temporary ban on all live poultry
and birds from Pakistan, Cambodia, Korea (Rep), China (including
Hong Kong [SAR]), Chinese Taipei, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam.
