The airport, with
2 linked terminals for national and international
traffic, is located in Vantaa, 20km (12 miles) from the
city centre.
Helsinki is served by direct flights from all the major European
cities. There is a daily service from New York
and direct flights from Miami, San Francisco and
Toronto (in North America), and from Singapore,
Bangkok and Tokyo (in East Asia).

The International and Domestic terminals are only 250m (274 yards)
apart and are linked by a walkway. Major

2 banks and several bureaux de change can be found in the International
Terminal. ATMs are situated on all the floors of the airport. Internet
kiosks are also available within the terminal. Eating

There are plenty of restaurants, cafés and bars in both terminals.

There are numerous shops at the airport. Other

The International Terminal has a pharmacy, travel agencies
and 3 baby care and play rooms with feeding and nappy changing facilities.
Disabled Facilities
The airport has lifts and wheelchair-accessible toilets, Passengers
are advised to contact their airline prior to travel for further
assistance.
There is an information service for the hearing impaired (telephone
number: (0)9 8277 3377) and all information desks at the airport
are fitted with induction loops.
There is disabled parking available in front of the Domestic and
International Terminal, and in the car parks. Conference
and Business Facilities
The airport’s Congress Centre (telephone
number: (0)9 818 3737) in the International Terminal offers 9 meeting
and conference rooms accommodating up to 140 delegates, with full
audiovisual equipment and catering.

has 4 VIP lounges, and 3 teamwork rooms, as well as a separate VIP
President terminal for hire.

rest area, is situated in the gate area of the International Terminal
(located close to Gate 20). Information

Information desks (telephone number: (0)2001 4636) are available
on the Departures floor and Arrivals floor in the International
Terminal, and on the Arrivals floor of the Domestic Terminal.
Driving Directions
From Helsinki city, drive north along Tuusula road Highway 45 and
follow signs for the airport.
From the west and the east, get on Kehä III (Highway E18 or
Highway 50) and follow to the airport.
Car Parking
Indoor car parks are available near both of the terminals. P1 and
P2 are close to the International Terminal, P3
and P4 are close to the Domestic Terminal and P5
serves both terminals.
Short-term, business and long-term parking are available (telephone

front of the terminals at 2 extra parking lots, P30 and P31.
Car Hire
Car hire companies represented here include Avis, Budget,
Europcar and Hertz. Car hire desks are
situated in the Arrivals hall 2 of the International Terminal T2.
Transport to the city
Road Taxi
Taxi ranks are located in front of both terminals with a journey
time to Helsinki of 30 minutes.
Standard taxis charge €25, while shared taxis, operated
by Yellow Line (telephone number: (09) 106 464,

cost €17 and the journey time is approximately 20-25 minutes.
Bus
Bus 615 goes to Rautatientori (Railway Square) every 20-30 minutes
and bus 617 to Elielinaukio. The fare for both buses is €3
with a journey time of approximately 35 minutes. A Finnair
City bus (telephone number: (09) 4157 5100, website: www.finnair.fi)
costs €4.50 or €3.50 with the Helsinki Card and stops
at the Scandic Continental and Radisson
SAS Hesperia (a joint stop), terminating at the railway
station. Buses run to meet all the flights. Airport
