Passports are required by all except:

1. EU nationals in possession of a valid national identity card.

Visa

Required by all except the following:

(a) nationals of countries referred to in the chart above;

(b) nationals of Commonwealth countries (except nationals of Bangladesh, India, Guyana, Fiji, Cameroon, Jamaica, Kenya, Nigeria, Mozambique, Pakistan, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Sri Lanka, Uganda and Zambia);

(c) nationals of Argentina, Andorra, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Chile, East Timor, El Salvador, Federated States of Micronesia, Guatemala, Honduras, Iceland, Israel, Korea (Rep), Liechtenstein, Marshall Islands, Monaco, Mexico, Norway, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Panama, Switzerland, San Marino, Uruguay and Venezuela.

Note

Transit visas are not required by travellers continuing their journey by the same or first connecting aircraft, provided holding valid onward or return documentation and not leaving the airport.

Application and enquiries

Any British visa-issuing post abroad or in the UK, or the visa section of the UK Passport Agency in London (see Contact Addresses section).

Application requirements

(a) One application form.

(b) Valid passport.

(c) Proof of hotel reservation.

(d) Fee.

(e) Return ticket.

Working days required

Applications are referred to Gibraltar and are normally processed within 20 days.

Note

(a) Holders of multiple-entry UK visas valid for a period of 1 year or more, and persons with indefinite leave to remain who do not require separate UK entry clearance do not require separate visas to enter Gibraltar. All other nationals who require a visa to enter the UK need a separate visa to enter Gibraltar.

(b) Visa requirements for other nationals wanting to visit Gibraltar are subject to frequent change at short notice and travellers should contact the UK Passport Agency (see Contacts section) for up-to-date information.
