People may import the
following items into Iceland (by persons over 18 years old for tobacco
products and persons over 20 years old for alcohol) without
incurring customs duty:
200 cigarettes or 250g of tobacco
1 litre spirits and 1 litre of wine, or 1 litre of spirits and 6
litres of beer or 1 litre of wine and 6 litres of beer or 2.25 litres
of wine.
Travellers may import goods free of duty up to the value of ISK
46,000. The value of each single item cannot exceed ISK 23,000.
Controlled and prohibited items
The prohibited items include:
Telephones and other communications equipment
Poultry
Eggs
Uncooked meats
Meat
Firearms
Drugs
Unpasteurised milk and dairy products
All fishing equipment, including waders and rubber
boots and riding equipment, has to be disinfected
and a certificate of disinfection issued by an official veterinary
authority presented on arrival. |
