Location: Middle East.
Iraq continues to experience a period of transition following the
United States led war against Saddam Hussein’s
regime in March / April 2003. Most of the country’s political,
social, physical and economic infrastructures have been destroyed
and need to be rebuilt. The United States of America formed the
Office of Reconstruction and Humanitarian Assistance (ORHA) to provide
humanitarian aid and rebuild infrastructure. The new Iraqi government
is still developing these rapid measurements. Some political representatives
/ Interests Sections are currently operating but not all have resumed
a normal service. |
