People may import the
following items into Israel without incurring customs
duty (alcohol and tobacco can only be imported by persons aged 17
years and over):
250 cigarettes or 250 grams of tobacco
1 litre of spirits and 2 litres of wine
250 mililetres of perfume or eau de cologne
Gifts adding up to the value of US $150.
Note
Provided for personal use and re exported, 1 video
camera, 1 photographic camera, 1 movie camera, 1 tape recorder and
up to a value of US $250 in film and video cassettes may be imported,
subject to high deposits paid in cash or VISA credit card only.
For plants, flowers and seeds, a health certificate is required.
Controlled and prohibited items
Prohibited
items include fresh meat, bananas and pineapples, fruit
and vegetables from the African continent, especially South Africa,
and dogs and cats aged under 3 months. |
