The climate is mediterranean,
with a pleasant spring and autumn. Winters in the north of Israel
can be cool. Rain in winter is common, particularly in Jerusalem,
whilst snow is uncommon. Summers can be very hot,
particularly in the south. The Red Sea resort of Eilat has a great
climate for beach holidays all the year round.
Required clothing
Lightweight cottons and linens are advised for the warmer
months. Medium weights are suggested for winters,
although on the Red Sea coast they are unlikely to be necessary
