are an overall guideline, rather than an exact definition of the
establishments.
IVA (value-added tax) at 10 per cent is included in restaurant prices
but is usually added to the prices before they are quoted.
A 15 per cent service charge is usually added to the bill. Romans
are not very generous with tips but an additional 10 per cent on
top of the bill if the meal and service have been good is very much
appreciated.

person and for a bottle of house wine or equivalent, they include
