Telegram services are available 24 hours a day at the Ministry of Post and Telegraph Offices, Abdullah Al Salem Square, Kuwait City, however they must be handed to the post office.

Mobile telephones

 Global System for Mobile communications (GSM) 900 and 1800 networks are availible.

Post

Airmail to Western Europe takes around 5 days. The Post office hours are from Saturday to Wednesday from 7.00 am to 2.00 pm, Thursday from 7.00 am to 12.00 pm.

Press

The English language newspapers are the Kuwait Times and the Arab Times. Although remaining loyal to the ruling family, the press enjoys quite a lot of freedom.

Radio

BBC World Service and Voice of America can be received. From time to time the frequencies change and the most up to date can be found online.
