The Kuwait Dinar is the official currency in Kuwait.

1 Kuwait Dinar (KD) = 1000 fils.

Notes are in denominations of KD 1, 5, 10, and 20. Also 250 and 500 fils.

Coins are in denominations of 5, 10, 20 50 and 100 fils.

Credit & debit cards

American Express, MasterCard, Diners Club and Visa are accepted. Please check with your credit or debit card company for details of merchant acceptability and other services which may be available.

Travellers cheques

Travellers cheques are widely accepted. To avoid additional exchange rate charges, travellers are advised to take travellers cheques in United States Dollars or Pounds Sterling.
