Snowy Cedars - Khalil Gibran

I was so excited at the prospect of seeing snow for the first time in my Life. I have spent my life in different cities in India, but snow always sort of eluded me and I was really anxious to see it 'Live' !! A project related business trip to Lebanon in the final stages of winter provided me with the perfect opportunity. It was early March and the time when it stops snowing in the higher mountain ranges but when the snow is very much in presence. I set off along with my friends. Our first stop was the birth place of Khalil Gibran, the famous philosopher /poet / thinker. The place was absolutely beautiful and so were the locales around it. It was incredible to see so much snow and I lost count of the number of times I made the driver stop the car just to feel the ice on my hand!! It was an exhilirating experience and I loved every minute. We drove all the way up the cedars (an image of the cedar tree adorns the lebanese flag)

It was a magical trip and something that I cherish as this was my first brush with Snow !!!
