Notes are in denominations of NZ$5, 10, 20, 50 and 100.
Coins are in denominations of and 5, 10, 20 and 50 cents. There
are also coins for NZ$ 2 and 1.

Credit & debit cards
The widely accepted cards are Visa, American Express, MasterCard
and Diners Club.

may be available, check with your credit or debit card company.
Travellers cheques
Travellers cheques can be exchanged at large hotels, trading banks
and a few shops, however these will be exchanged at official rates.
To avoid additional exchange rate charges whilst using travellers
cheques it is advisable to take them in US Dollars, Australian Dollars
or UK Pounds Sterling.
