The Sultanate of Oman fills the south eastern tip of the Arabian

stretching along the Indian Ocean and the Arabian Gulf

is bordered by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the west.
The Republic of Yemen lies to the south.

United Arab Emirates lies to the north west of Oman

Oman has been Sultanate since 1744.

is Sultan Qabus bin Sa’id since 1970.
Language
Arabic is the official language, however English
is widely spoken. Swahili is also spoken by the inhabitants from
East Africa. German and French are also spoken by some hotel staff.
Religion
The religion is predominantly Ibadi Muslim, with Shi’ite Muslim,
Sunni Muslim and Hindu minorities.
