Portugal’s national airline, TAP
Air Portugal (TP), operates direct flights to Faro, Lisbon and
Porto from a number of countries, including Canada, France, Spain,
the UK and USA. Portugália
Airlines (NI) operates flights from Europe. Other airlines flying
to Portugal from the UK are British Airways, GB
Airways and Monarch Airlines, Easyjet,
bmibaby, Jet 2, MyTravelLite,
Flybe, Flyglobespan and SATA.

Airport facilities Money and communications
Banks are located in both the Arrivals and Departures areas, with
ATMs located nearby. A bureau de change and post office are located

There are duty-free and tax-free shops at the airport, offering

Disabled Facilities
Passengers requiring wheelchairs or assistance should inform their
airline at the time of making their booking. Lifts and disabled
toilets are located throughout the airport and disabled passengers
can park in reserved spaces in the car park opposite the terminal

A conference room is, exceptionally, available for hire in the terminal
building with facilities for up to 65 delegates include TV and video.

Information and help desks
The information service desk is located at the meeting point in
the terminal building. Passengers can contact the information service
(telephone number: (0)289 800 617) for details of flights, disabled
facilities, opening hours and public transport timetables. Cultural
and tourist information is also available on arrival at the ICEP
desk. Driving Directions
Airport is clearly signposted from the airport junction of the EN125.
Car Parking
Car park P1 is a short-term parking located in the Departures area
and P3 in the Arrivals area. Car park P2 is a long-term parking
and is located behind car parks P1 and P3. The Hire cars are located
in a separate car park. Car Hire
Auto Jardim, Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz,
Nationa/Alamo, Rentauto and Sixt are all
represented, with counters located in the Arrivals area.
Transport to the city
Rail
Direct high-speed trains travel to Lisbon Central Station and take
12 minutes, as well as a number of other destinations in Portugal
and Sweden. The train station is located in Terminal 3 at the Airport.
Road Taxi
Taxis are available from outside the terminal building, near the
Arrivals concourse.
Bus
Buses are available from outside the terminal building. Several
town buses operate between the airport and various locations in
Faro (passengers should check the timetable posted near the information
desk at the meeting point). AEROBUS provides a
shuttle bus service between the airport and the city centre between
June and October. Airport Hotels
There are no hotels on-site at the Airport, although the Ibis Faro
(telephone number: (0)289 806 771) is only 2km (1 mile) from the
airport. Other hotels in the area include the Lti Alfamar Beach
& Sport Resort, Hotel Faro and Hotel Monaco, further information
