Car hire companies operating from the airport include Alamo, Avis, Europcar, Hertz and National have desks located next to Domestic Arrivals.

Public Transport

Taxi

Metered taxis 24 hours a day and available from outside the terminal.

Bus

Shuttle buses to Glasgow’s city centre cost £3.30 (£5 return).
Bus no.905 runs to central Glasgow, stopping at Glasgow Central station, Queen Street station and Buchanan bus station. For more information on travel to/from the airport, contact the Airport Travel Line (telephone: (0)141 848 4330).

Coach

Coach services depart from the coach park on the far side of the main car park building, and include Aircoach, which runs from the airport to Dublin city centre and other stops including hotels; coaches leave every 15 minutes 05:30-22:30. Nesters and City Link run a service to Galway City.

Rail

The Gilmour Street railway station in Paisley is 3km or 2 miles from the airport and is only a few minutes by taxi or local bus. Trains run to Glasgow Central rail station. Information and help desks

The airport information desk is on the first floor, next to the Domestic Arrivals/Departures area. There are computer information kiosks on the ground floor and a Greater Glasgow and Clyde Valley Tourist Board (tel: (0)141 848 4400 or 4758) in International Arrivals, providing tourist and accommodation information.

Airport facilities

The airport has bureau de change, ATMs, a post office and fax and e-mail facilities. Restaurants, cafés and bars are concentrated on the first floor.

Luggage

The left-luggage facility (telephone: (0)141 848 4938) is open 24 hours. A lost property service (telephone: (0)141 848 4740) is available. Uniformed members of staff are on hand to assist with baggage.

Conference and business facilities

A business workstation with telephone, fax and Internet facilities is on the first floor concourse. The Glasgow Airport Business Centre (telephone: (0)141 847 5450) meeting rooms, conference and training facilities, an IT suite and full secretarial support. There is a Servisair Executive Lounge, with credit-card operated telephones and fax facilities. Conference facilities for up to 35 guests are available at the Travel Inn (telephone: (0)141 842 1563).

Disabled facilities

Facilities include wheelchair-accessible toilets, ramps, lifts and reserved seating. Passengers should advise their airline in advance of any special needs. Disabled parking spaces are available. Passengers requiring assistance from the car park to the terminals should arrange this in advance by contacting Passenger Assistance Limited (telephone: (0)141 848 4938). The Holiday Inn Glasgow Airport (telephone: (0)870 400 9031), Travel Inn (telephone: (0)141 842 1563) and Express by Holiday Inn (telephone: (0)141 842 1100) can all be found in the airport grounds. Note Glasgow City Centre is only a twenty minute taxi ride, so it is worth considering Glasgow City Centre hotels as an alternative.
