People may import the
following items into South Africa (by persons over 18 years old)
without incurring customs duty:
200 cigarettes or 250g of tobacco or 50 cigars
1 litre spirits or liquor and 2 litres of wine
50 ml of perfume and 250 ml of eau de toilette
Other goods up to a value of ZAR 3000.

Ammunition
Processed cheese and other dairy products
Flick knives
Meat
Obscene literature
Explosives
The restricted intems include:
Plants and plant material without import permit, including margarine,
