Hikkaduwa,

Galle,

Tangale,

for swimming throughout the year.
Negombo,
37 kilometres or 32 mile from Colombo near Katunayake International Airport,
is Sri Lanka’s oldest and most-renowned fishing village. It sits
on a strand separating the sea from a lagoon. The shellfish is a
specialty.
East Coast

Arugam

miles from Potuvil, has a beautiful bay and surfing.
Jaffna
Jaffna is 396 kilometres or 240 miles from Colombo,
lies at the country’s northern tip. It is known for its Hindu
temples, Dutch forts, the Keerimalai
Baths, the tidal well
and the Chundikulam Sanctuary.
Jaffna has many good beaches, the best known of which is Casuarina Beach. Check with the Tourist Board, Embassy or High Commission
