Transfer
Between Terminals
Free shuttle bus services are provided to transfer passengers between
the terminals. Driving Directions
From Taipei, take the Sun Yat-sen freeway southwest towards Taipei
and Taichung/ChungLi, and turn off at the airport interchange, right
after the Nankan Nokan interchange. Car
Parking
Car parks are situated on the ground floor of the east and west
sides of Terminal 1, and on the ground and underground levels of
the east and west sides of the Terminal 2. Car
Hire
There are car hire service counters in the Arrivals lobby of Terminals
1 and 2. Public Transport
Road
There are taxis available 24 hours a day in front of the Arrivals
hall, to Taipei and Taichung.
There are 6 companies that provide bus services which include Taiwania
Air Bus and the Kou Kuang Motor Transport Co Ltd. They operate city
centre destinations (drive time is 40 minutes), as well as Taipei
Rail Station. The Taoyuan Bus Corporation provides bus services
to Taoyuan and Chungli, and Taichung (drive time is 2 hours), including
other areas. Rail
Taiwan High Speed Rail (also known as the THSR) is Taiwan's high-speed
rail system, operating about 345 kilometres or 214 miles from Taipei
City to Kaohsiung City, which began operations on January 5, 2007.
Information and Help Desks
Information or help desks are available in each terminal. Terminal
1 (tel: (0)3 398 2143, and Terminal 2 (tel: (0)3 398 3274). A tourist
service counter is located in the passenger reception area of Terminal
1 Arrivals (tel: (0)3 398 2194). Airport
Facilities Money and communications
Two banks have outlets around the airport offering many facilities,
which include ATMs and bureaux de change. An Internet cafe, mobile
phone services, a post office and telephones are all situated in
Terminal 1 Departure halls. Wireless Internet is provides at various
points in the airport. Eating
and drinking
Chinese and Western restaurants, fast-food stores and bars are situated
throughout the airport. Shopping
Many shops are available at the airport, as well as duty-free shops.
Luggage
Lost property offices are situated on the underground levels of
Terminal 1 Departures and Terminal 2 Arrivals. Left-luggage service
is available on the 1st floor (Departures) of Terminal 1 and in
the Terminal 2 Arrivals hall. Other
facilities
A medical centre, a nursery and children’s playroom, a barber,
first aid station, beauty salon and a transit hotel are all available.
Conference and Business Facilities
The More International Business Centre & Premium Lounge (tel:
(0)3 393 1111) is located on the 4th floor of Terminal 2 Departures
which is available for hire.
The CKS Airport Hotel provides additional conference and communications
facilities. It is 2 kilometres away, with free shuttle services
(tel: (0)3 383 3666). The hotel has meeting and seminar rooms for
up to 350 delegates, IDD lines in all guest rooms and an Internet
cafe. Disabled Facilities
Disabled tourists may park without a charge for the 1st day in the
airport car park. Passengers who require wheelchairs or special
assistance should advise their airline prior to travel.
Airport Hotels
The CKS Airport Hotel (tel: (0)3 383 3666) is situated
2 kilometres from the terminal and is served by a free shuttle bus.
There is a transit hotel in Terminal 2 for passengers waiting to
transfer to another flight. In the Arrivals lobby of both terminals,
there are hotel reservation counters and hotel representatives.
There are no other hotels located in the immediate environs; the
closest are 32 kilometres (20 miles) from the airport and include
the Hotel Royal Taipei, Grand Hotel Taipei,
Imperial InterContinental, Regent Grand
Formosa, Riviera Hotel and The
Ritz Landis Hotel. |
