Mango Tree	Price: B300. Wine: B800 (inc. VAT)
Mango Tree is situated in a quieter corner between Surawongse and the busy Silom Roads. It consists of 2 antique houses, featuring photos of a past Bangkok on its walls and a range of old cameras. Though inexpensive, it is not really a budget place as it serves wonderful fine Thai food. The dishes are influenced from all over the country and the spicy green and red curries are especially mouth-watering. Set menus are also available, and prices range from B300 to B700.

O'Reillys Irish Pub	Price: B330. Wine: B800 (inc. VAT)
This traditional Irish pub features a pleasant bar in an excellent setting with wooden floor, and the walls are decorated with many photographs of traditional Irish scenes. There is a range of Thai and European cuisine as well as a wholesome beef and Guinness pie, and a popular daily set lunch is also available for B192.

Singapore Chicken Rice	Price: B120. Beer: B50 (inc. VAT)
At first sight, practical tables on the white tiles, in frantic surrounding of this tiny restaurant are not very attractive or interesting. Nonetheless it is always visited by ex-pats, tourists and many locals, who all come for the extremely good food. Diners can watch dishes, such as the scrumptious won ton, being prepared out front. Credit cards are not accepted.

The Whole Earth	Price: B250. Wine: B750
The Whole Earth is located just off a busy Soi of Sukhumvit Road. This traditional Thai style house is set amidst a large candlelit garden setting, offering a good range of both excellent Thai and Indian cuisine, as well as a good choice of vegetarian food. This simply designed, peaceful place is built with wooden floors (customers have to take off their shoes before entering). The vegetable dopiaza with nan is highly recommended.

Witch's Tavern	Price: B420. Wine: B1300
This friendly locale is in the area of Thonglor, built in an English pub style, featuring leather sofas to rest and enjoy watching the large screen TVs or live jazz music at the weekend. It provides English and Thai cuisine, and worth trying is the spaghetti with hard shell clams, onions and white wine. A special 3-course lunch is provided from Mondays through Saturdays for B250 and a jazz brunch at the weekend.
