This
colonial-style restaurant is a converted
Thai house, decoreated with teak wood. Owned by a Dane, the Admiral's Pub & Restaurant explains the pictures of Scandinavians who served in
the Siam Imperial navy. It is ideal for
spending your time in this pleasant atmosphere. A mixture of restaurant, library,
meeting room, wine cellar and terrace. The food is mostly
Scandinavian, such as meatballs with cold potato salad.
The all-you-can-eat barbecue including the salad bar for B395 are available on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
This wooden house-style restaurant is set within lush tropical gardens (lit up
at night) in the Silom area. Ban Chiang serves up Thai food which is attractively presented with an excellent selection, as well as fried grouper fish with peppers, pineapple
and chili sauce. It is popular among businesspeople
at lunch time, and its simple, classic decor makes it
a good place for a special evening meal.

comes to Bangkok with a restaurant that serves up dishes
cooked on a volcanic rock at 400°C. A selection of
chicken, pork, seafood, lamb, beef and venison is provided
with plenty of salad bar. The Cairns Stonegrill Restaurant is simple
with boomerangs on the wall as a testimony to its origins.
No lunch is available on the weekends.
The upmarket Le Dalat Indochine is located down
from the busy Sukhumvit Road, and it probably serves the best Vietnamese food in
Bangkok. Set within a beautiful house in a large garden,
dining here is a pleasant experience. The tasteful design gives its guests a colonial feel with photos and memorabilia
covering the walls. Renowned for its seafood, a great
choice here would be the crispy fried crab served with
salad. A set lunch is from B290 per person. Le Dalat, the equally
wonderful sister restaurant, is just across the
street.
This Italian restaurant is located just off Silom Road. Its
simple but stylish decor gives a peaceful atmosphere. Zanotti
seems to be more popular among businesspeople than romantic
diners because it can be fairly busy in the evenings. There
is a large menu put together by the Italian chef, with
such specialities as black squid ink linguine with clams
and shrimp sauce.
