The climate in Yemen
varies according to altitude. The coastal plain is hot and dusty
throughout the majority of the year. The highlands are warm in summer
and, during winter, from October to March, nights
can be bitter in the mountains.
Yearly rainfall is extremely low and temperatures,
particularly in summer, are very high. The most enjoyable time in
Yemen is from October to April.
Light weight clothes are worn in the coastal plain throughout the
year. Warmer clothes are necessary from November to April in the
